Brilliant. I am super excited to try this out. Color is soooo difficult for me. I mean I have basic color theory understanding and I say basic because it doesn’t help me to create such cohesive work as you’ve shown with your theory. For instance I might under stand that yellow and purple are compliments but which yellow, which purple? Your theory brings you to a sophisticated cohesive result. At least (not having tried it yet!) I see what you are doing and it makes so much sense.

Thank you for those thoughtful observations Cynthia! It is hard mental work but even in small doses enlivens artworks.

I am buying the color theory book Michael, I will need to have it by my side to learn and practice. Plus I hear from the reviews that it’s full of your 16 beautiful pastels 🤗

Wonderful, thank you Cynthia. The chapter on it in Companion gores deep into unpacking it in detail. They complement each other very well. The color theory book was written in real time as the theory was becoming clear to me and as I was testing it every way I could. And those gorgeous paintings by Melvin Toledo was such a wonder confirmation. Enjoy your exploration, and im impressed you are going to seriously try it out.
