That is gorgeous! I will have to go and look up more of Lynn Christopher’s work. There is indeed a tremendous amount of emotion, I am awed. I saw a few Rodin sculptures last weekend and this has reminded me of that experience of standing in front of them. Thanks for sharing the unveiling of your new, extraordinary artwork.
I’ve been reorganizing my studio and found a wonderful place to put it. Lynn is an exceptional representational artist, but she also plays with pure abstraction, which she says gives her a feeling of extraordinary freedom. We’ll see how that turns out for her in the long run. I personally think that absolute abstract art is a form of compartmentalization, while representational art is an integrated form on a massive scale; they’re really not compatible.
I hope it provides you with much inspiration as you work! I looked up her work; it is gorgeous. I especially loved her 2D figurative art and was awed by her cardboard sculptures. She is best talented. That is interesting about the purely abstract art. I had never considered it as compartmentalization; but upon consideration I can see what you mean and now you’ve given me something to contemplate today.
Absolutely exquisite Michael! I love it! ✨💖😔
