Oh you would have loved her. She had a Jewish Brooklyn background, yet making god-like figurative art, giving the middle finger to "thou shall not create graven images." Her son has "Eurdaemonia" tattooed on his forearm!

She sounds like she was awesome! That's amazing about her son - what a cool synchronicity!!

Demi, in a natural course she would have been famous and you would have known of her. That lack of acknowledgement was/is due to deepstate postmodernism suppressing figurative in the artworld. It’s done on purpose by the puppet masters while the useful idiots are ... idiots in every way.

Her work looks amazing. I'm so sorry she didn't reach that level, but maybe her work will live on and we'll see it honored the way it should have been. At least those who are aware can honor her work in that way and perhaps utilize it to spread that message. That would be a wonderful way to honor her memory.

Such sad and tragic news indeed, Michael. I first became aware of Tanya’s incredible sculptures after following you on your website in 2018. The day I followed her on IG, we found out that our fathers had *both* been on Terceira island in the Azores during WWII. It was quite an emotional and synchronistic revelation. She was truly a sublime artist and devotee of Eudaemonia--I loved that story you wrote about first finding out about her son’s tattoo. I am so sorry you have lost a lovely friend and kindred spirit.

Thanks Michael and the detail about your dads, small world. I wanna thank you for voicing your support of her and me generally. We go through life thinking there will always be time to voice gratitude. I was relieved that I had written about her in her time, when news broke of her passing. Haha I wonder if I will turn it into a morbid habit of thanking people, getting it in there before they die!?
