I love this excerpt so much, I listened to it three times. Are you by any chance familiar with the work of Leonard Shlain, the Goddess versus the Alphabet?

Thank you. No I don't know him, but looked him up just now on Amazon. He seems to be a Renaissance man, with an interest in art, science, and psychology.

I was really intrigued by it. I went to find the link to the PDF I had discovered some years ago, but the PDF doesn't seem to be at that link anymore. I do have it and can send it to you on Telegram messenger if you like (I'm at t.me/maxmorris if you'd like to connect there) or maybe I can send it to you on Facebook messenger if it will allow me.

Here's another link I did find: https://journals.lww.com/journalacs/citation/2005/02000/the_alphabet_versus_the_goddess__the_conflict.3.aspx

It's a fairly short write-up from the 55th Alfred Korzybski Memorial Lecture. It discusses the traits of the brain's right hemisphere versus the left hemisphere, and while I was listening (and re-listening!) to your excerpt, elements of this came up for me a lot. It's rich, nutritive soil for me.

Super glad to have it brought to mind, and really enjoyed your written peace.

What about tragedy... Can art be born not of love, but of tragedy? Or is the nature of love intrinsic to tragedy itself?

Answering that could be a book!

I love this question. Love and tragedy can be equally "felt" providing intense emotions, so I feel both can lead to a passion for art. Love "is" intrinsic to grief and out of that many great artists, songwriters, poets, writers are born.

... Love born out of tragedy is the sweetest love of all. As the world self destructs and the masses are lead to slaughter, life has never been more fertile for the harvest of the sweet love born out of desperation. Perhaps this is the Great Harvest referred to by Satan's minions, concerning The End Times. They fatten up the calves for slaughter in these times, at least that's how it appears to me. Cynical? Perhaps with good reason. This is Spiritual Warfare, after all.

What a great read. I love art and music beyond words. I love love. If only we all knew, in the context of "beauty" and reverence, how God created nothing but works of art in us and in the universe, nature. We are to respect and appreciate this for all that it is. The greatest gift that flows through us and around us. The present culture spends no time patiently revering one another, art and music. Swiping quickly past people and images that could potentially change their lives for the better.
