Oh yes, absolutely. Last light I made a couple of minor corrections in my other series, The Art Studio Companion, and ordered a print proof. And plan to do the same for this memoir.
It will be a story to tell the coming generations and art work worthy of all of your life experience, teachers in art and philosophy and everything you have admired through out your life and loved. Thank you for your gift to humanity. Love, Sharon
Wow—you teased the Mourning and Rebirth series on Notes this week, but they're even more impactful in context. I especially love the self-portrait. You've shared a few of them, and it's interesting how the phase of your life manifests itself so deeply in each one.
Love all of the art you shared here, as always.
I really related to what you said about your fear of falling into a career of coaching rather than painting. A similar thing happened to me with teaching—I found myself consumed by it a little TOO much, and promptly withdrew as far as I could while still keeping the job, haha.
This covered so much ground…that’s amazing you coached Pete Sampras, but I like your reflections on how your body can only compete at that level for so long, and how you’d made the better choice. I agree. Denouement is incredible as are your Grecian pastels and the figurative work…all incredible, I am in awe. Thank you for sharing your life and work.
A thrilling view into an artists genius and life.
Thank you! 😀💜💫
Please Michael, are you going to make a book of all these substack entries. Pardon me if you already have. Oh how I would cherish it!

There are no words to adequately thank you for your evaluation.

Thank you for your detailed comments. And I’m glad you mentioned the teaching thing, it nice when we can support each other’s id.
Wonderful journey! Thank you for sharing it. (I look forward to the compilation)
“Consuming” is the one word that kept popping into my head when I read it.
Wonderful, thank you Freeq! : )
