Thank you. It asked who I thought owned it? And about 5 other questions about the ads and etc. Too bad I didn’t copy it. But with shadowbanning figurative art and irrelevant ads every 3rd post, and that if you join IG’s Threads and don’t like it and want to leave you have close your original IG account as well (some good person did a early review of Threads). Plus Iv been comparing and contrasting X, FB, Reddit (I have 1/2 million views there of my art), and Substack. The later two are coming out on top.
500,000 views is incredible. I'm very impressed with the multi-media allowances in Substack. I never thought it would be a way to showcase art & music, but so grateful that it is.
Hey Larry, you’re the photographer over on instagram, right? I’ll miss those stunningly abstracted compositions, what a great eye! IG is an intelligence org that engages controlled opposition, shadow banning, and propaganda messaging every 3rd post. I started noticing it intensely when I was reaching over half 1 million views on Reddit and effortlessly making money here on Substack with really nice people that there were something really wrong with Instagram and X. I found out that it wasn’t worth the time. Facebook is similar but I do have about 200 friends there that I actually know in real life and many of them are collectors. It’s very funny that immediately after I closed my Instagram account I started getting really wonderful engaging art ads on Facebook which I had not had before. Like today they were celebrating the Windsor Newton and that’s the brand I used to paint so it was kind of a nice warm feeling to see the ad. So what was Facebook doing for the last 10 years with me sharing stupid shit ads when they have the algorithms to make it a great experience? So we’ll see.
I appreciate your taking the time to tell me about your IG experience.
I have been shadowed banned myself and I don't like it. It started when I began sharing my "dissident views" about Covid (views that have since been shown to be true and in some cases are now mainstream views) on IG. (I even have a site about Covid: covid19reader.com)
I have been thinking of doing a substack. From your experience do you think doing a photo tutorial substack would get an audience?
Michael I found you from Post Post Modern…I haven’t listened to your interview yet but omg I went to look at your work and so far have scrolled through some of your landscapes -stunning! Looking forward to the interview while on a long drive tomorrow and to more of your posts here.
Good for you.
Wow. Fantastic.
(So curious about the Instagram questionnaire...)

What was it that made you leave instagram? Thanks in advance.

Thanks again.
I do recommend substack. Even if it sharing your images with a paragraph or two about them...try it and see how it goes. I love the authenticity here.
Fantastic, I look forward to perusing your new site and glimpsing some of your incredible art! 💖✨💖
Thanks for sharing Michael! Looking forward to checking out the new site and archive of you artworks!
Thank you Victoria.
