These are lovely. I love the freedom of movement and weight of the lines. Thank you for sharing this!

@Jenn i don’t recall if you got to do a lot of life drawing? But it is like take a deep breadth and draw as fast as possible and squint like hell—resulting in loose and nuanced line.

I love life drawing. It is my absolute favorite of all. I have not had a chance since early 2020, but it is a magical experience that I deeply miss. I’ll see if I can dredge up a few old drawings to share with you. I always forget your squint technique when I’m in the thick of things. I soften my eyes for a better view. Funny how reducing your vision actually clarifies things.

You would have loved my two year life drawing experience, of models 9 hours day six days week, no damn instruction hahaha, and about 20 other artists so on the breaks you can see the hits and misses. That experience enabled me to hone my own style.

Yes, I really really would have loved that, how cool that you had that experience. I love the atmosphere of a figure drawing session with other artists, too. There is a sort of vibrating energy and it has a life force all its own. I am glad for you, and awed by what it allowed you to accomplish!
