Fantastic, and congratulations on the book! I love that you use your oops art for experiments, I keep mine because a teacher told me to. Thanks for the inspiration to go back through and work them again. And thank you for this wonderful chapter on shadow work!
Jenn, Thank you so much. I replied earlier via my phone, but it got dropped (the reply). And I am glad you mentioned the oops art, I have a couple that I have worked decades on ... fun puzzles, and I wonder why I can't simply solve it in a ten minute session, my goal, just give it those one or two marks that make a magical difference, right?! But I did feel that with making those shadows transparent. Now I should do the same with other 25 oil sketches lying around?
The shadow was a genius solution! The puzzle art…I don’t know. I think it will speak to you again at the right time and place, something will click like the brilliant shadow art idea. It’s funny how these problems spend years percolating even when you’re not aware of them doing so.
Wonderful @Michael Newberry, I love this one! It’s intriguing how principles of art apply to real life. Psychological transparency transforms our life-journey into an enriching experience, turning fear into a pathway to profound personal growth.
I think most of us, myself included want to stay away from the dark shadows of our life. But breaking out of fear, and searching that area has to be an enlightening experience. Thank you Michael for YOUR insight into this mysterious, hidden world which you haven't been afraid to explore.
I received your color theory book today! The studio course is on my wish list!
Thank you Cynthia! That is such a great honor!
