Bravo!! This is fabulous!! I love the list, Michael. It's succinct and digestible, straight to the point.
Everything you've written here speaks to my moniker of POST Post Modern, and to my devotion to the fundamental NATURAL ethical standards that keep us aligned in Love, Integrity, Truth and Beauty. XO
Thank you so much Jacqueline. Its a wonderful rhizomatic thing going on for us here. And the thoughtful and authentic communication between us is definitely nudging me, and I see with other people, to blossom in our thinking.
NAILED IT. And thank you for Eudaemonia. I looked that one up. I always appreciate a new word. It is so gross what they are trying to do. I can't believe other people don't see it. I remember that one of the first things I saw from you was something to do with this and I was SO GREALTY relieved to know it wasn't just me. I have seen some really bad "art" in the last few years. Keep calling it like you see it. Most people I talk to about this have no idea (and I never liked the soup can guy, so sue me.) :) It's clear what is going on in the art world. Nice list! The CIAs bitch image is funny. I mean, come ON>
So refreshing Amy! Thank you! Both the sense of our truths are supporting each other. I wonder if people do see it but simply don’t have the words to fight it?
Oh boom! Thank you. Anytime someone has to go on about it I am like.....uh huh....yellow, red and blue...shapes, cans, famous people....got it. Deep stuff.
Drug induced collages by a man child for a million bucks it's stupid and I refuse to play along with their bullshit narrative it's art bc its art doesn't mean I have to think the money laundering dribble is art lol its collage 5th grade art class tripe. The Factory was stupid too. He was a con man.
Ne anlatiyonlN senn. Kaybedecek tek bir şeyim bile yok benim. Kendi altına yapıp üstüne de oturduğun yetmiyormus gibi hala yapıp üstüne oturmaya mı çalışıyorsun herkes ederi kadar yer eder hadi bakalim başla. İnsan sandık seni yine geldin sıçtın dama yine..
I have seen some strangeness such as this going around. I will not be interacting with it other than to say "eeky peeky". Translation, "go in peace". It could be a strange human doing a strange thing , or it could be a robot. Either way. Eeky peeky doo da day.
Of course you don’t have to, I was not challenging you. I was fascinated by your question and what brought you to asking it. I’m certain there were some interesting thoughts there.
I know, it's just a lot. Ultimately it's due to how it leads to superficial hive mind status chasing behavior and such and for instance the trans movement just for a quick example behaves. Stuff like that.
That would be an interesting study by a legitimate social scientist: what happens to people who forgo reason, authenticity, and goodness? What kind of bonds to they make with others? I saw an interesting Hollywood dark humor film, The Kill Room (2023) with some great actors. It is about the art world, its money laundering, and turning killing into art (not far fetched.) It got the horrible spirit of the PM perfectly: every single person in it would sell their soul to be king or queen of the scene for a day or year. It was classic in the hero’s journey of development but it was about how unethical shit succeeds. I don’t recommend it but it was intelligent, knowledgeable, and well-made done. Funny that technically it was an excellent film of nihilistic content, ultimately failing because the means didn’t match the ends. Ha, that doesn’t answer your question, but it was a good attempt to. 😀
I have a thing that I've dubbed the Facebook effect that can lead to the mentality that gets people there as well. It sounds like a cool movie that I'm going to have to check out. Interesting times. Post modernism allows for the obscene to be scene. Ehh oh. 🙂
They completely turned real art upside down it seems for their corrupt benefits. Gone with the wind is the golden mean when they promoted and embraced that nonsense.
Michael, you totally nailed it! Thank you so much for this brilliant analysis of why everything went down the cultural shithole. This will be a great scorecard to use against any forms of demoralizing crap that’s being passed off as “art”. Can’t believe I’d live to see the day where art in all its forms would be weaponized against humanity. I bet there are a lot of “poets” who fall into this category as well. And odds are that instagram is trying to kill poetry by reducing it to little poetato chips for the unsuspecting masses to snack on.
Thank you so much Victory! I know that the CIA launders money to their chosen authors by purchasing thousands of copies—to make it look like organic best sellers. 🤮
You're super welcome, Michael! Yeah, those guys...really devious. If you have time, you may want to check out some of my poetry, especially RCAA, or Imagination, the only Nation, to give you a sense of my work and the truths I'm trying to communicate. Oh, P.S. That film "The Good Shepherd" which is about the birth of the see eye aye, its lead character, Matt Damon (who I think is really one of them), wants to be a poet and he just so happens to get caught up with the Skull & Bones. What a coinky-dink (not)!
The excecution is a tic too intellectual for me personally (not your fault that I don't know all these fancy words), but you got the essence dead right. Congratulations. I read a lot of German philosophers in my late teens, in German, but sipmly couldn't stomach more than two paragraphs of Kant before I put it down. I felt Schopenhaur and I felt Nietzsche, for example. But I didn't feel a think reading Kant. It was just empty meaningless voidness to me.
You seemed to have put a lot of thought into the topic of deconstruction. And you point out that it can lead to nihilism and the destruction of uplifting values. This is deconstruction on a purely intellectual and atheistic plane.
Have you ever delved into non-dual spirituality (Advaita Vedanta) and the practice of self-enquiry?
Because this is also a kind of deconstuction but not simply negating positive values into negative ones. It deconstructs everything as mental and as illusionary as a technique to experimentally experience what is left of us, when we discard everything that is not us.
How do we know what is truly us and what isn't?
Whatever we can observe, perceive or conceive can't be us because who is doing the observing, perceiving and conceiving? If it is observable, it can't be us.
Eventually, we arrive at "pure being" (I had moments of it and can atest to it - it is similar to a no-mind state) , which is the mother and source of all the beauty, bliss, love and compassion that shines through in the highest and most meaningul acts of human existence.
Could it be that this current postmodernistic deconstruction is simply a misguided dead end of , and part of the learning curve and the unavoidable mistake needed to master any new skills?
What I want to point to is that deconstruction itself is maybe not the problem. It is the misguided excecution and weaponizing of it.
I see a parallel process with the whole gender transformation fiasco. Transcending male and female identifycation, as a spiritual course, in othere words, disidentifying ourselves from a specific gender, is not a problem at all. There is also no harm to mentally-sexually integrate and play with different gender identities. I think it can help to transcend the whole sexual sphere later in order to channel the sexual energies for more spiritual purposes. There is also no confusion about the biological parameteres and boundaries of gender and they can be fully accepted on that plane, while being fluid on higher psycological and spiritual levels.
The problems lies with the weaponizing and comercializing of gender identities.
The reason why I am pointing all this out is that I think it creates more and new suffering if we simply deny and oppose postmodernism and deconstruction as wrong, soulless, void and terrible. What we resist, persists. What we fight, fights back.
Maybe there is genuine value in the deconstucting process itself when used within a wider spiritual non-dualistic context - it is just misguided and possibly weaponized for non-spiritual purposes of power and greed. But we can't deny that millions of people respond to it consciouslly and unconsciouslly. If it would be totally useless and destructive - why does it attract people? Maybe they sense this kernel of truth that almost eveything is mentally constructed (which includes socially constructed) but the execution and foccus is all misguided?
Done correctly, deconstruction doesn't lead to nihilism, it leads to freedom, bliss, beauty and ulitmately God.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. I think deconstructing is an excellent tool to give an alternative perspective. Even having a harsh critical voice can keep one honest or give one out of the box possibilities. Like the work I did by thoroughly reading Kant, in good faith, to understand what he was truly getting at. It’s fascinating though some concepts die the further one uncovers their roots. While other concepts like Aristotle’s eudaemonia, realistic state of happiness, and the awesome code “know thyself” carved on the temple of Delphi exponentially improve one’s life the further one delves into it. Perception of reality also rises under scrutiny. Conversely there are con artist patterns, that after unveiling thoroughly, don’t need to be reexamined ever single time. In a way it comes down to motive, if one is predator some avenues are easier than others to manipulate.
Well put. I still haven't found what exactly it is that distinguish the genuine compassionate person we can trust from the even most advanced and brilliant con-artist. I pride mysefl to have a good bullshit detector and he rarely lets me down but I have no idea how it works. It seems like an instinct at this stage......

Oops, I replied in the wrong place. It's okay :)
And I thought it was me! Thanks so much! This changes the direction of my personal retrospective.
Thank you Marion, for such a great comment. Thank you.
Does post modernism lead to collective narcissism?
Can you unpack that?
Do I have to lol. 😁

American won something else in ww2 it came here to be rebranded once more but was spread beyond all borders in the connectivity of the modern era.
Thank you for restacking @Mary Ann <3
