Not Seen For 35 Years
I opened a box wrapped in a ton of tape like a mummy and I found hundreds of slides of my earlier works. I don't remember documenting them with slides. In the Fall of 1988 I spent 3 months pastel painting in Greece and Turkey and I made about 90 works. Predominately plein air land/seascapes. I am now converting all of them to hi-resolution digital images.
I don't remember making this lovely piece above. It is beautiful karma to have great slide of it. Of the 90 or so slides none of them are signed, which means when I got home to L.A. after the trip and I immediately had them photographed. I am still laughing at the good fortune.
We will see but they might make a good picture book. Within a week I will upload them to my Instagram archive.
