Personal Evolution Rocks
Just signed. Continuing my exploration of color theory, this one has a yellow-gold atmosphere, yellow light, and purple shadows. Each color is combination of the color of the thing, light on the blue water for example, plus yellow of the light, plus the gold of the atmosphere turning the water into variations on greens and caca for the shadows. The grasses are golden-straw color mixed with extra doses of yellow and gold, and its mid-tone shadows are purple mixed with gold. It sounds complicated, and it is -- the fun part is when it works it is amazing experience and that is the exciting motivation to keep going up this path. Personal evolution rocks.
At the San Onofre beach is a Nuclear Power Plant, I was 12 when the first one was built, and Interstate. As a kid I played tennis tournaments in the Los Angeles area, and we would use the old Highway 101, and would pass the power plant. Sometimes a teenagers, who were also playing in the tournaments would be the designated drivers. Our parents would sh*t if they if they knew that sometimes a caravan of two cars would drive next to each other, with open windows we would throw tennis balls through each other's windows, going 65 miles an hour. What an exciting childhood. Each time I passed the plant I would feel an expectation about progress.
I am in exhilarating stage creating these pastels and their color theories. About one a day, 40 plus so far. You can see them all together on my Instagram page.
