Interesting Comparison with the 30,000 Year Old Horses' Heads
While edited my pastel above I was struck by the similarities with the Chauvet Cave Horses' Heads, charcoal and colored pigments. Incredibly really, that modern artists would share the same mediums as those at the dawn of human art. They wanted to turn rocky walls into horses and I wanted to turn paper into rocky walls. It tugs on my heartstrings that our humanity is still connected to our beginnings. A feeling of an abundance of love.
