Newberry, Apollo Beach, Blue, Yellow, and Pink, pastel
Just signed. One fascinating consequence of complimentary color in light and shadow is that it is easier to create luminosity. These white waves have very little contrast of tone, but its yellow-white highlights and purple-white shadows are opposites, yellow vs violet.
Art plays a huge role as a spiritual support for philosophy. When it is good it shows what reason and perception look like visually. Culturally we have been bombarded by senseless postmodernism. For instance in the last many years journalists have used more opinion than doing the work to reasonably string facts together. It has gotten to such a point I don't think many famous ones know what facts are. Psychologically, these con artists can find support in PM art's disintegration. By contrast representational art represents the artist's mind of putting it all together, even in something as simple as this landscape with its epistemological integration of theory, perception, form, and light. Con artists do not gravitate to this kind of spotlight.
The added element in art that is not philosophical is emotion. While painting this I experienced an particular strange feeling, as if the marks of color were wonderful tastes of culinary delights. As if the experiences were ends in themselves.
Put it all together and don't be surprised by those who do not.
