Drawing the Sydney Opera House
A couple of years ago I connected with family I hadn't yet met in the Central Coast of Australia. They made it a glorious experience. Love. Thank you! This is one of my sketches, about 45 minutes, limited time to draw details. (One can detail over hours but it kills the energy of light and moment. "Impression ... ist!!!) One shocking thing that I had never experienced before was some tourists, from a nearby country, had the habit of coming up behind me and they almost would rest their chin on my shoulder to get their eyes as close to mine as possible. This happened 3 times while drawing this short sketch. Yikes! For the following pastels I found bushes and trees that I could back against so no one could get behind me.
Moral: don't get mad get backup.
