Can you relate to making love in outer space?
Today, I finished the graphite line-study of the couple, then I laid it on top of a photo reference of the Milky Way, courtesy of Lissa Evans, a friend and great photographer. This image is a reference for the composition of the upcoming painting (64×46″).
I have yet to draw the light and shadows on the graphite study. It is handy to pause in the line/contour stage, and use that to transfer the image to the canvas. This image has the same ratio of the canvas size.
I am virtually certain this is the composition, ha, love it. But I have one more element to include, which is the faint edges, nearly invisible, of glass.
