After a Trip to the Framers
Overlapping Three Frames
Today I went to my framers, Alf's. The frame was ready, all I had to do was bring the painting and he would assemble the whole package. Two weeks before I had designed it with three overlapping frames in variations of espresso color. Now the painting is a lot heavier which compliments it seriousness. Reminded me of Aristophanes' comedy, The Frogs, in which the dramatic poet Aeschylus wins the competition in Hell because his lyrics were literally more weighty than those of Euripides; including things such as soaking wet wool and piles of chariots. I am delighted with the frame and it feels perfect for the painting.
The Kiss will have its first public showing in November, 2021, at The Atlas Society's 5th Annual Gala honoring Peter Thiel. There I will also show, and offer, Icarus Landing. Could be a very important day.
